Ebook Great

Does anyone have data/information about ebook sales?

I’m curious how many copies of an ebook, by a typical author, are sold. Getting a range of # sold from popular authors to lesser known authors would be great. Any related info is also welcome.

This website has a listing of average earnings from quite a few publishers: http://www.brendahiatt.com/id2.html
However, it doesn’t break them down by e-pub and print-pub and is 6 months out of date. Some publishing companies now do both ebooks and paperback.

Authors usually sign a nondisclosure that prohibits them from stating how much they made and how many copies they sold.
